The Nikon Coolpix S2500 is a European model for a 1/2.3 "type CCD image sensor with an effective resolution of 12.0 megapixels. The sensor coupled to a Nikkor branded 4x optical zoom. The S2500 Objective 4, 9 to 19.6 mm focal length offers efficient, which corresponds to 27 to 108mm on a 35mm camera - a wide range of useful angle to moderate telephoto f/3.2 opening af/6.5 rather low over the entire range of focal normally, the S2500 can focus on the issues .. as close as 20 inches (50cm) wide and 32 inches (80cm) in telephoto, but in macro mode, this area is only 3.2 inches (8 cm) reduced.
Images and movies are framed and on the same 2.7-inch TFT-LCD with 230,000 pixels, which now controls the input device as a courtesy of a touch screen. The display resolution is about 320 x 240 array of pixels, each pixel of red separated, green and blue. Together with C2-branded EXPEED image processor, the Coolpix S2500 offers a sensitivity range from ISO 80 to 1600 equivalent controlled automatically and a maximum of ISO 3200 with manual control. It is also possible, the Auto ISO 400 or 800 equivalent to the top cap.
The S2500 offers 720p (1280 x 720 pixels) video recording. The Nikon S2500 stores images on Secure Digital cards, including the latest SDHC and SDXC types, or a 16 MB internal memory is not so generous. The data transmission to a computer with a USB 2.0 high speed. Power comes from an EN-EL19 new lithium battery, said to be good for 220 shots on a single charge based on CIPA standards.
The Nikon Coolpix S2500 is not currently scheduled for release in the U.S. market.
