The compact Fuji X10 find the popularity of its predecessor companies FinePix X100 to draw similarities with not only the name, but also in their retro frame magnesium. If the X100 early photographers not only traditional management tools, but also ensures maximum image quality, the X10 ambitions choose something in the interest of achieving a smaller, lighter, cheaper and more convenient for consumers of design, which - in contrast to the previous camera - a lens with optical zoom.

The main differences between the two cameras on their choice of glasses, is in the image sensor and the viewfinder. The X10 uses a much smaller EXR sensor of Fujifilm 2/3-inch CMOS image, instead of using the chip CMOS APS-C in the standard X100. Twelve megapixels of effective resolution is a maximum image size of 4000 x 3000 pixels and the ratio of 4:3 is to use a computer, instead of using the 03: 02 X100 native (and 35 mm camera picture film). Fuji EXR sensor just use a different configuration of the color filter which gives the possibility of compromising the resolution to improve the sensitivity due to the simple binning pixels available. You can also increase the dynamic range, the middle half of the reading of pixels of exposure, while the rest of the sensor sets exposure. Note, however that is not marked with the Super CCD, so the pixels are octagonal and 45-degree shot of the grid company Super CCD.

X10-X100 design also do without the unique hybrid viewfinder, which can be considered a high-resolution electronic viewfinder, or an optical viewfinder with information superimposed images. Instead, the Fuji X10 standard roof prism viewfinder Real-image zoom, which provides no TTL to superimpose information again. (This is a correction of -3.5 to 1.5 diopters, though.) X10 objective, is now a registered Fujinon 4x optical zoom lens with focal lengths of about 7.1 to 28.4 mm instead of 23 The X100 is a mm fixed focal length of a fixed focal length. (Equivalent to 35 mm focal length 28 to 112mm, compared with 35 mm fixed the most expensive model). The maximum aperture is f/2.0 wide angle with the fixed focal length of the X100, but it falls a bit "at the end of f/2.8 telephoto.

On the back of the Fuji X10 is a 2.8-inch 153,000 pixels LCD ~ (460,000 pixels). Resolution is relatively high, but a little "smaller than average, although unchanged from the X100.

Exposure modes include Auto, Program, Aperture and Shutter priority, Manual and two measurement modes and EXR mode. A shooting at full resolution streaming is September 1 fast frames per second, and the contrast AF system has 49 points in seven by seven points range. 100-3200 ISO sensitivity equivalents are available. In addition to still images, the X10 recording high-definition movies at a resolution of 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels, 30 fps progressive scan, also known as "Full HD"). The films are stored with H.264 compression and stereo audio.

The Fujifilm X10 stores images and movies on Secure Digital memory cards and is compatible not only with the highest capacity SDHC / SDXC types, but also increasing the speed UHS-I-Card compatible. Still images can be stored in a compressed format like JPEG and lossless RAW. Power comes courtesy of a property NP-50 Lithium-ion, while connectivity includes standard definition NTSC / PAL and HD video output mini-HDMI and a USB 2.0 high speed data.

MSRP for the Fuji X10 is set at U.S. $ 599.95. Availability is planned for early November 2011.
